Founded in 2015 by Swiss guitarist Romana Kalkuhl, the all-female heavy metal band Burning Witches was assembled to realize her dream of a powerful female lineup, featuring bassist Jeanine Grob and producer guidance from Schmier. Following early successes, the band solidified its lineup with vocalist Laura Guldemond in 2019, along with drummer Lala Frischknecht and guitarist Alea Wyss.
