The spirit of the holiday season comes alive in Takoma Park, where Main Street Takoma Park hosts a series of enchanting events that celebrate community, creativity, and the joy of giving. As we approach the holiday season in 2023, the town is gearing up for a spectacular lineup of events, building on the success of previous years.

Kicking off the holiday shopping extravaganza is the annual Pajamarama Holiday Shopping Event and Market, set to take place on Sunday, December 3rd. Early risers clad in cozy pajamas are invited to explore the charm of Takoma's independently-owned businesses from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Local restaurants join the festivities by serving donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and other treats, accompanied by steaming cups of coffee. At 10:00 am, the Pajamarama Holiday Market unfolds, featuring a curated selection of gifts from local artists and makers. This unique market, hosted by the beloved DC area coffee roaster, Lost Sock Roasters, transforms the parking lot of the historic Takoma Theater into a vibrant hub of holiday cheer, lasting until 3:00 pm.

On Friday, December 8th, the holiday spirit continues to thrive as Main Street Takoma presents the third annual Takoma Park Gift Market. From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, the streets come alive with local artists and makers showcasing their wares. Food trucks line the pathways, and Takoma restaurants serve up festive holiday cocktails. Visitors are invited to shop and dine under the stars and enchanting holiday lights.

As the holiday season reaches its peak, the town hosts the much-anticipated annual Takoma Cocoa Crawl on Saturday, December 16th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This delightful event offers a variety of traditional cocoa and adult drink options at local restaurants. In addition to the warm beverages, area retailers provide enticing shopping specials, making it the perfect opportunity to find unique gifts for loved ones.
