The 137th Annual Takoma Park 4th of July Parade is marching out a fierce, uncompromised theme this year: "Celebrating the People of Takoma Park: Elders, History, and the Democratic Spirit." Leading the charge as Grand Marshal is none other than the archive-defending keepers of local lore, Historic Takoma. Expect radical civic pride, hyper-local history lessons, and zero corporate filter. 
 The Route Coordinates: The main spectator action is hitting Maple Avenue, specifically the high-vibe corridor stretching between Philadelphia Avenue & Ritchie Avenue.
