Your social life has been stuck in a loop for weeks: brunch, another rooftop, a movie that promised more than it delivered. It's time to break the cycle.

The Summer Polo Sunday Socials, a collaboration between Congressional Polo Club and DC Fray, are the countryside daycation your Sunday has been begging for. It's polo but make it a festival. Two rounds of live matches featuring professional players, lawn games, live music, food trucks, an onsite bar, and a curated showcase of vintage, exotic, and super collector vehicles parked field side. All of it just outside Washington, D.C., in Poolesville, Maryland.

The final date of the season is Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Congressional Polo Club, 14660 Hughes Road, Poolesville, MD 20837. Matches run 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

The Vibe Is "Polo Chic," and Yes, You Should Commit

This is not a dress-up-or-else situation, but the crowd leans in. Big hats. Bright colors. Seersucker shorts, if you dare. The organizers literally encourage it, and the result is a visual spectacle that makes for excellent photos and even better people-watching. Leashed dogs are welcome. So are kids, coworkers, and that friend who always says they want to do something different.

What You Actually Get

Every ticket includes access to both polo matches, lawn games and activities, onsite cash bar and food truck options, photo opportunities, live music, and free parking.

General Admission — $45: Access to all matches, picnic-style lawn seating, one complimentary beverage. Food and bar available for purchase. Seating is first come, first available, so bring a chair or blanket and stake your claim early.

VIP Experience — $75: Everything in GA, plus early entry at 1:00 PM, exclusive access to the VIP overlook lounge with complimentary refreshments, priority seating under cover, and an open beer, wine, and seltzer bar. Also includes a photo opportunity with the players and horses.

Tailgating — $65 per vehicle: Premium tailgate parking, BYO food and beverage, and access to all matches. You can bring your own picnic setup and create your own field side party. Note: one tailgating ticket is required per vehicle, and remaining adult passengers still need a GA or VIP ticket.

Children under 14 are free. Parking is complimentary for all ticket tiers.

Logistics, Because You're the Planner

Check-in times: VIP and FrayLife+ members enter at 1:00 PM. General admission and tailgate ticket holders check in at 1:30 PM. Matches kick off at 2:00 PM.

What to bring: Lawn chairs or picnic blankets, sunscreen, and your own food and drinks if you're tailgating. The onsite bar and food trucks handle the rest.

Getting there: Congressional Polo Club sits at 14660 Hughes Road in Poolesville. It's a drive, not a Metro trip, so coordinate a carpool or designate a driver. Free parking is included.

The Bottom Line

The Summer Polo Sunday Socials are how you win the group chat. It's a date idea, a family outing, a coworker hangout, and a solo escape rolled into one afternoon of countryside air and thundering hooves. The season finale is September 20. Grab tickets, pack a picnic, and wear the hat.
