Vibe & Crowd: Jazz draws a sophisticated, music-first crowd. You'll see serious jazz enthusiasts, music students, and older couples who appreciate the artistry. Age range skews 30s to 60s, with a respectful, attentive energy.
Venue Intel: Union Stage has a full bar and solid food options (think elevated pub fare). The Wharf itself is a destination — you can make a whole afternoon of it. The views of the waterfront are stunning, and there are dozens of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Nearby: Stay at The Wharf after the show. Grab dinner at Kaliwa (Thai-Filipino fusion with a view) or The Brighton (seafood and raw bar). For drinks, Whiskey Charlie at The Canopy Hotel has a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the Potomac.

Vibe & Crowd: This is a deep cultural immersion event. The crowd is a mix of West African diaspora, dance enthusiasts, academics, and families. You'll see everyone from young children to elders, all connected by a love of rhythm, movement, and tradition.
