Rain possible. Your plans should still hold up.

Here is the thing about a wet weekend. You can stay inside and scroll. Or you can actually go do something. These are the events worth leaving the house for. Some indoors. Some outdoors with an umbrella. All curated because we are obsessive like that.

Let us go.

Saturday

10:00 AM – Petals & Pilates – Union Station, DC. Indoor flowers and movement. Stretch. Smell something pretty. Start your weekend gently.

1:00 PM – In-Person Tour of Takoma Village Cohousing – Washington, DC. Indoor conversation about intentional community living. Curious about shared housing? Go ask real people who actually do it.

4:00 PM – Meet the Author: Steve Majors – Takoma Park. Indoor. Free. Local author. Local library. Good conversation.

5:00 PM – Christylez Bacon & Friends – Silver Spring (Bloom at Good Hope). Free. Outdoor. Rain plan uncertain. Check before you go. But if the weather holds, this is a gem.

Sunday

12:00 PM – Family Chess – Takoma Park. Indoor. Free. All ages. Teach a kid. Lose to a kid. Either way, you are off the couch.

1:00 PM – Sanctuary of Solace – North Bethesda (Mansion at Strathmore). Free. Multimedia installation by nine teen fellows exploring safety, belonging, and third spaces. This is a "Before It's Gone" story in real time. Do not miss it.

1:30 PM – National Caribbean Festival on the Rooftop – MLK Library, DC. Free. Steel drums. Carnival dancers. Island energy. Rain may move it indoors. Check before you go. Do not let a little water stop you from hearing steel drums.

2:00 PM – Flower Avenue Together Block Party – Silver Spring. Free. Outdoor. Rain plan uncertain. If the sun shows up, this is where you want to be.

2:00 PM – Rosé on the River – Washington, DC. Ticketed. Pink drinks. River views. Adult energy.

3:30 PM – Storytime Yoga – Takoma Park. Indoor. Free. For young children and caregivers. Nap time after. You are welcome.

4:00 PM – Love and Gouyad – Silver Spring. Ticketed. Haitian community event. Music. Culture. Connection.
